Electrician Website Redesign Services: Fix a Site That Isn’t Getting Calls

Electrician Website Redesign Services

You paid for a website three years ago. It looks fine. It’s live. And it produces roughly two enquiries a month, both from people who already had your number.

Here’s the frustrating part: it’s almost never one big thing. It’s four or five small, specific, entirely fixable problems and until someone identifies them, you’re paying for a site that quietly does nothing.

DreamNexTech audits and provides Electrician Website Redesign Services. Sometimes that means a full redesign. Often it means a week of targeted work, and we’ll tell you which one you need before quoting.

The Five Reasons Electrician Sites Stop Producing Calls

1. The phone number isn’t tappable. Typed as plain text, or set inside an image. On mobile that means copying digits manually, and most people won’t. We find this on a startling proportion of live sites.

2. It’s slow. Four to seven seconds on mobile is typical for a site built on a commercial theme. Roughly half of visitors leave before a page that takes over three seconds finishes loading. You’re paying for traffic and losing half of it at the door.

3. One services page instead of many. Your site has a page listing twelve things you do. Customers search “fuse board replacement Leeds” and “landlord EICR near me.” A single page cannot rank for twelve different searches; twelve pages can.

4. No service area pages. You cover eight towns and have one contact page. You’re effectively invisible in seven of them.

5. No proof above the fold. No registration number, no insurance detail, no review count, no photos of real work. You’re asking a stranger to let you into their home on nothing.

The Audit We Run First

Before quoting anything, we check the same things every time:

Real mobile load time, measured on a throttled mid-range device over 4G — not a desktop speed test, which flatters everything.

The call path. How many taps and how many seconds from landing to a ringing phone? On a good site it’s one tap and under three seconds.

Structure against search demand. What are people in your area actually searching, and does a page on your site target each term?

Competitor comparison. What do the three firms outranking you have that you don’t? Usually it’s service pages and area pages rather than anything clever.

Technical health. Schema markup, heading structure, image weights, mobile responsiveness, Core Web Vitals.

Listing consistency. Whether your name, address and phone are formatted identically across your site, Google Business Profile, and every directory. Inconsistency here quietly damages local rankings and it’s extremely common.

You get the findings whether or not you hire us. If the answer is “your site is fine, spend the money on SEO instead,” we’ll say that.

Fix or Rebuild?

Genuinely depends, and the honest answer saves you money.

A targeted fix makes sense when the design is reasonable and current, the site is on a platform you can maintain, and the problems are conversion-related — untappable number, no call bar, missing trust signals, oversized images. That’s typically one to two weeks.

A rebuild makes sense when the site is more than four or five years old, it’s not properly responsive, it’s built on a theme with fifteen plugins holding it together, the structure can’t accommodate service and area pages, or load time can’t be fixed without stripping out the foundation.

We’ve talked plenty of electricians out of rebuilds they didn’t need. A £600 fix that doubles enquiries is a better outcome for both of us than a rebuild that does the same thing for five times the price.

If you’re weighing this against buying a template instead, our comparison of electrician website templates versus custom builds sets out where each makes sense.

What a Redesign Includes

When a rebuild is the right call, this is what you get:

Conversion-first structure. Tappable number in the header on every page. Sticky mobile call bar. Four-field quote form. Trust signals above the fold. Postcode coverage checker.

A page per service. Rewires, fuse board replacement, EICR certificates, EV charger installation, fault finding, outdoor lighting — each written for search and structured for enquiries.

A page per area you cover, with genuine local content rather than a swapped place name.

Real photography. Your van, your team, your finished boards. Phone photos are fine and outperform stock.

Local SEO built in. Electrician schema with service area and hours, consistent listings, Google Business Profile alignment.

Speed as a constraint. Under 2.5 seconds on a mid-range phone over 4G. Hand-coded semantic HTML, images in WebP and AVIF with correct srcset, fonts subset and preloaded, no page-builder overhead.

Analytics and call tracking configured at launch, so you can see what changed rather than guess.

Keeping What Works

A redesign shouldn’t throw away everything you’ve built.

We preserve your existing rankings by mapping old URLs to new ones with proper 301 redirects — the most common way a redesign destroys traffic is by skipping this. We keep pages that are already performing, migrate your reviews and content, and where your existing design is decent we’ll build on it rather than replace it.

Nobody needs to pay twice for a logo that was fine.

Typical Timeline

Audit — two to three days, and you get the findings regardless.

Targeted fix — one to two weeks.

Full redesign — three to five weeks, depending on how many service and area pages.

Results — conversion improvements show almost immediately in call volume. Ranking improvements from new service and area pages typically take two to three months to settle.

If you already have a designer or finished mockups, we also work purely as developers and build existing designs into fast responsive pages.

Find Out What’s Actually Wrong

You don’t need a hunch about why the phone isn’t ringing. You need the numbers.

Request a free website audit from DreamNexTech. Send us your URL and we’ll come back with your real mobile load time, your call path, what your competitors have that you don’t, and whether a fix or a rebuild makes more sense — with a fixed quote either way.

Website design and development is one of several services we run alongside SEO and digital marketing. For electricians, a redesign is usually the fastest-returning of the lot, because the problems are specific and the fixes are measurable.
